Rebecca’s Healthy Coffee Creamer
Rebecca’s Healthy Coffee Creamer will have you coming back for more and more!
A couple years ago my parents lost weight together using my Instant Loss recipes. They gave everyone monthly updates and dropped weight like crazy! My mom mentioned her homemade coffee creamer in one of her weight loss update and everyone went wild asking for the recipe! Kindly she sent it over right away so I could share with all of you! Isn’t she just the best? This is one recipe you don’t want to miss if you are like my mom and need that morning pick me up.
When they say “Mother knows best” they weren’t lying, were they? This recipe is one of my favorites and it’s not just because my mom came up with it. I love that it is an alternative to the regular coffee creamer. This coffee creamer will go with coffee anyway you like it.

I always try to steer away from coffee and caffeinated drinks because the reality of it is they are empty calories that I personally don’t want to consume on a daily basis. One myth that I always heard is coffee is good for losing weight. Well I am here to shut that down. It will not help you lose weight but it will give you that added boost on morning energy you need without adding too much to your daily calories. It is always recommended to not drink more than 2 cups per day and remember anything in excess is never good.
There are only a few ingredients needed and cleanup is a breeze. What’re you waiting for? Go make some now.

How long does the creamer keep for? Made some this morning!!!! Thank you so much for all your wonderful recipes 🙂
The expiration date will be similar to the expiration date on the coconut oil that you use.

an honest question…. how is this more healthy than milk? It seems to have a higher fat content, and none of the calcium…. I’m a bit confused
Milk is very difficult to digest. Children are able to break it down easier because they have certain enzymes that adults no longer possess. With all the additional processing that goes into the milk you purchase at the grocery store it’s just not a great option, in my opinion. Raw milk is better if you know a local farm that sells it. The calcium/milk/strong bones thing is really a myth that the milk company created to sell more product. It’s a clever campaign slogan for the dairy industry. If you’re eating a plant rich diet you’re getting plenty of calcium.
This is just a lifestyle thing for my family and I. Also because we suffer with auto immune disease we’ve been advised to stay away from all dairy and all gluten as both of those things are highly inflammatory.
I’m a fan of a high fat diet. Healthy fat is good for you. 🙂 I hope that helps.
Can it be stored in the refrigerator? I am assuming it melts when it gets warm in the kitchen, not sure if it matters. Thanks!!
Oh my goodness.. Talk about a wonderful accident. I made this with honey in my little food processor and it smelled amazing I had to try it right away. Unfortunately it wasn’t quite sweet enough for me BUT I left it on the counter overnight and it solidified just enough to become spreadable. I opened it up and smelled it again and thought I can’t waste this so I spread maybe a teaspoon or so on a piece of toast to try and WOW. my kids want to try it on homemade waffles and pancakes in place of syrup. I know it’s not the original purpose of it but it very much works for us!!
Do I need to throw it in the blender? Would a good stir combine everything?
This was a total fail for me. The coconut oil would not mix with the honey no matter how long I mixed it. When I added it to my coffee I ended up with pure coconut oil floating on top of my coffee. Yuck! Did I do something wrong? I used the exact ingredients in the recipe.
Did you melt your coconut oil?
Is the coconut oil supposed to be melted first?
Yes if your coconut oil is hard, melt it first
I used to make this and totally forgot about it it. Thanks for the reminder. Starting back with this tomorrow! How do we follow your parents journey as well?
Yah! You can follow my parents story here https://instantloss.com/category/rebecca-and-dan/
Anything else besides Coconut oil I can use?
Sure, you can use any other oil or healthy fat. 🙂
🙁 I’m so sad. Mine is not incorporated at all. My coconut oil was liquid, as my house is hot right now…I blended it in my nutribullet with the honey, vanilla, and cinnamon. Now in my jar I have spiced honey in the bottom and coconut oil floating lonely at the top. 🙁 I don’t know how to fix this.
Hello Jenny,
You just have to shake the coffee creamer every time before you use it. It’s the nature of oil that things are going to separate. Or if you would like to keep it continuously together you can always blend it and then store it in your refrigerator and the coconut oil will solidify. Hope that helps! 🙂
