How To Use Your Instant Pot As A Double Boiler

In this post I am going to share with you how to use your Instant Pot as a double boiler! It’s so easy and all it requires are a couple things you probably already have laying around!

The Instant Pot is my favorite MacGyver kitchen gadget. It’s resourcefulness just can’t be beat!

It is no secret I LOVE sweets. It is one of the things I just cannot give up. If I am really craving something sweet I go for nuts and dairy-free chocolate! It is one of my favorite sweet tooth busting snacks. 1 handful of nuts with 1 handful of dairy-free dark chocolate chips, that’s where it’s at! They’re even better melted together.

Obviously, you couldn’t eat this snack every day but once in a while is totally okay! Remember it’s okay to allow yourself to indulge sometimes.  But just remember how to get back up and going the next day.  There is no way I could have lost 125 pounds if I didn’t allow myself those days.  We all have them, it’s life.

Method:

  1. Place 2 cups of water inside your Instant Pot and set a 3qt stainless steel bowl on top.
  2. Using the display panel heat your Instant Pot using the SAUTE function. Make sure it’s on MORE not LESS.
  3. Add your meltable to the stainless steel bowl. I like to use dairy free chocolate chips. Add 1 tbsp Ghee or Coconut Oil for every cup of chocolate. Whisk until chocolate has melted completely about 5 minutes.
  4. At this point you can begin dipping; strawberries, bananas, nuts, go wild!
  5. Set dipped fruit/food on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper and place in the freezer while the chocolate re-hardens.

That’s it! So easy!

  1. I just got your email about “healthy-ish” Easter candy and you mentioned making homemade Reese’s… I can’t find the recipe.
