Fall Side Dishes

Here is a list of my favorite Fall side dishes!  Tasty, all stars in their own right, these yummy sides are all worth giving a try this season!

Maple bacon, dairy free creamed corn, and candied yams- oh my! All of these sides are delicious clean eating recipes that can easily be altered to suit your dietary needs! Eating well doesn’t mean sacrificing flavor.

Crispy Bacon Green Bean Bundles

When I was in High School there was a catered Christmas Dance at our church. We were served this amazing meal and one of the Hors d’oeuvre was bacon wrapped green bean bundles very similar to this dish. They were delicious and left several of us seeking the recipe. I can still remember how those green beans tasted. So good! This is a copycat of that recipe and let me tell you, the pictures don’t do them justice!  They are one of my favorite things to cook in the Fall!

Autumn Roasted Sweet Potatoes with Candied Maple Bacon

Autumn Roasted Sweet Potatoes with Candied Maple Bacon is a savory, sweet side dish with a little bit of a kick. I think the biggest challenge around this time of year is eating.  There is food everywhere you look!  I have found that you can easily make some simple changes to some favorite holiday dishes and you won’t feel the after dinner guilt (or the need to unbutton your jeans). This is a great addition to a clean eating Thanksgiving feast or a yummy side year round.

Dairy Free Instant Pot Creamed Corn

Dairy Free Creamed Corn is my favorite Thanksgiving side dish! This is a clean eating treat packed full of protein. It uses cashews to create the creamy consistency instead of cream cheese! My kiddos say this recipe is “out of this world” and I have to agree.

Instant Pot Candied Yams

I spent a lot of time in my kitchen trying to perfect this recipe and let me tell ya, it is absolute perfection! Did you know, Candied Yams are good for you if you can believe it! No marshmallows here but with the combination of natural sweetness from the maple syrup and sweet potatoes you really don’t miss the added sugar!

Instant Pot Baked Potatoes

Baked Potatoes are a great side dish or main course! And to top it off they only take a few minutes to cook to perfection! If I am making these for dinner I will make sure I make a big leafy salad to go with it so we aren’t just filling ourselves up with a bunch of carbs! I also will try to top the potatoes with a protein like chili,
