Crispy Bacon Green Bean Bundles
These Crispy Green Bean Bundles won’t last long once you sit them out for guests!
When I was in High School there was a catered Christmas Dance at our church. We were served this amazing meal and one of the Hors d’oeuvre was bacon wrapped green bean bundles very similar to this dish. They were delicious and left several of us seeking the recipe. I can still remember how those green beans tasted. Simply delicious!
My family has never been big green bean casserole lovers. After that dance my Aunt started making these Crispy Bacon Green Bean Bundles instead of a casserole. The pan of green beans is always the first thing to go. It doesn’t matter if she doubles or triples the recipe, these babies are gone in 60 seconds. I will say my Aunt is hands down one of the best cooks in the world! When I was little I would cook up tons of delicious recipes with her. This might be where I got my love of recipe creation from!
A couple years ago I adapted the recipe so that it was more whole foods friendly. It’s still just as delicious and a little less naughty! Trust me this one won’t last long, it’s that good!
This is a recipe that is so easy to make and everyone will definitely love. I start off by cutting the strips of bacon into thirds. Then I carefully wrap 8-10 green beans in a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick. Place on a foil or parchment paper lined baking sheet. Repeat. I mix maple syrup, butter, garlic salt, and coconut aminos together in a bowl. Pour over green beans.
The last thing I do is place pan in a cold oven. Set oven to 375F for 30-40 minutes. Serve warm.
Last but not least, enjoy!!!

I think I’ll be making this instead of green bean casserole for thanksgiving this year!
These are the best! I used fresh because I missed the frozen part but they still were amazing!
Did you have to adjust the times at all? I was thinking of using fresh as well.
Curious about this also!
I used fresh. It was definitely less time, but I couldn’t tell you how long. I just kept an eye on them and when they looked nice and crispy, but not burnt, I took them out. They were nice and crisp. Basically the bacon was JUST done, if that helps at all.
Making these again for thanksgiving this year!! That were a hit last year. Thanks Brittany
Are the frozen green beans whole or cut?
They are whole
I wanted to love these! Maybe my oven runs hot, but they ended up pretty burnt and the kids refused to eat them.
Hi Karin,
I’m sorry to hear that they ended up pretty burnt. The first thing that comes to mind would be to suggest maybe cooking them for a little less time next time you make the recipe. Different ovens can totally cook at different temperatures and like you said your oven may just run a little on the hotter side. There is always a little room for variance when it comes to cooking in the oven and even cooking on the stove top. Wishing you all the best!
Could these be done in the Instant Omni under air fryer feature and then under broil? I believe the temperature would be lower and time would be shorter as well.
Hi Christina,
I have never tried to cook the bundles that way but it seems like it may work. Come back and share how it goes if you try it. Wishing you all the best!
So good that I made them two nights in a row – but I cheated! I chopped the bacon and tossed bacon, fresh green beans and half a sliced onion in the sauce and roasted at 425 for 20-25 minutes. I increased the coconut aminos to an 1/8 C because 1/4 of a teaspoon didn’t seem to add much flavor. Delicious!
