Instant Pot “pot in pot” tips and accessory guide
One of my favorite cooking methods in the Instant Pot is “pot in pot”. You will first need to find a 6 or 7 inch oven-safe dish that fits nicely inside of your 6 quart Instant Pot so that you can cook ”pot in pot”! This will allow you to do marvelous things like assemble casseroles, bake cake, make frittatas, and much more!

To cook pot in pot, simply place 1 cup of water inside the bottom of your 6 quart pressure cooker. Cover your baking dish with foil and set it on top of the stainless steel trivet. Carefully lower the trivet with the baking dish into the Instant Pot and bake for the allotted amount of time!

Saved to my Pinterest board! You put chicken and mustard together and you have a party in my book! Thanks for this, along with the post about the accessories.!
I bought this springform pan and it leaks 😢 Ove tried to make the frittata twice and the egg mixture leaks right out. Anyone else have this issue?
You can always wrap the bottom of your springform pan in foil. They should not, however, leak. Farberware and Nordic ware are recommendable. I’m sorry for your trouble. I’ve been there. But I hadn’t adjusted the pan properly (my first pan).
What is the purpose of covering the baking dish in foil? I bought the stainless steel stackable dishes but haven’t used them yet.
Hi Jayme,
Thank you for reaching out! You can use the lids that come with the stackable dishes if you’d like, the foil is only used to keep too much moisture from releasing into the pot while the recipe is cooking.
