Garlic Ranch Popcorn
This homemade Garlic Ranch Popcorn is a refreshing spin on a classic snack. Popcorn with coconut oil and sea salt is one of my favorite things to munch on. If I close my eyes and use my imagination it’s almost like I’m eating Cool Ranch Doritos. Okay, not quite, but it’s yummy!

Print RecipeIngredients
- 2 tsp Nutritional Yeast
- 1 tsp Minced Onion

- 1 tsp Parsley
- 1/4 tsp Sea Salt
- 1/2 cup Non-GMO Popcorn Kernels
- 1/2 cup Coconut oil melted
Instructions
- 1. Add nutritional yeast, minced onion, garlic powder, parsley and salt to a mortar, spice grinder, food processor, or blender and process. I like to use my mortar and pestle for this.
- 2. Pop popcorn kernels in an air popper.
- 3. Coat popcorn with melted coconut oil and sprinkle with seasoning.
Curious why you did not use the Instant Pot? I have never used it for popping corn but I am told that it can be done.
I’ve tried using the Instant Pot but it leaves a lot of kernels left unpopped. I do not prefer that method.
Same here! I cannot get all of the kernels to pop in the pressure cooker 🙁
What air popper do you use? The one shown?
Yes. 🙂
you can also “air pop” corn in a brown paper lunch bag in the microwave Super cool!
What brand of nutritional yeast do you use if you have the MTHFR gene ? I found out 2 weeks ago that I do have it and didn’t realize that folic acid was in the bragg’s brand. I’m just learning about.
Thanks
Hi Tonya!
I use this brand: http://amzn.to/2FoQtw8 🙂
Sounds dumb to ask, but is this dried parsley or fresh???
For this it would be dried. ☺️
So, this was amazing! I’m a ranch lover and was saving this recipe in my phone tabs for when a salty crunchy craving hit, it did not disappoint. I shared with my sister in law and she, a ranch hater(I know, bizarre), loved it too! It’s just ranchy enough and pairs great with the coconut oil. Total winner!
