Monthly Weight Loss Weigh In {August}
I didn’t lose a single pound last month, not even one! I bounced around back and forth between 139 lbs and 142 lbs. My body got nice and comfy and just settled right in to that weight and that was just fine with me. 🙂

If you’ve been following my story for awhile you know that a couple months ago I decided to switch gears and head into maintenance mode. After 8 months of big exciting losses I knew that things were slowing down. My #1 goal was a strong healthy weight for my height, age and circumstances, I feel completely accomplished. I could probably lose about 10 more lbs and slim my mommy tummy a little bit more, I may still do that, but at this point I’m just over the moon to be fitting into a size 6 and XS blouses!
I feel strong, I feel healthy, and I feel beautiful. There is the constant temptation to dwell on and talk about all the things I have left to accomplish. All the little things that no one else notices but that I pinch and poke and try to cover up. The weight loss may be coming to a close but retraining my mind to view my body positively has just begun.
If I could go back, I’d tell myself that being thin doesn’t affect my happiness near as much as I thought it would. Loving my body has less to do with physical appearance and more to do with mental wellness and growth. Be encouraged self, these changes that you think are so difficult and depressing are going to make you feel better than you ever have in your life!
….and in light of all of that giving up McDonalds (and all the other junk) was 100% worth it.

Hi Brittany,
I recenty found your blog and Facebook group (through your Youtube video with Shaylee) and I am so inspired! Our stories are similar, and this is just the motivation I needed to do what I know I’ve needed to do for a long time! I would love to see a “What I eat in a Day” blog post, and would love even more to see you start a Youtube channel, hint hint. I’d also love to see a “What’s in my fridge or pantry” post as well. I’ve loved every recipe I’ve tried so far, and so have my kids. Thanks again, your hard work is changing lives!
