Pre-heat the Instant Pot using the SAUTE function. When the display panel reads ‘HOT’ add stew meat and the sliced onion and brown the meat.
Once the meat has a little color add the rest of the ingredients and stir to incorporate.
Hit cancel, put the lid on your pot, and make sure the valve is in the sealed position.
Program the pot, using the MANUAL function, to 30 mins on high pressure or just press the MEAT/STEW button. When the time is up let the pot naturally release the pressure. This will allow your meat to maintain a lot of it’s moisture. It takes about 15 minutes.
