Crispy Bacon Green Bean Bundles

Makes 20 to 24 bundles

Ingredients

  • 7 strips nitrate-free bacon
  • 1 to 1 1/2 pounds frozen green beans
  • 1/4 cup 100% pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter or ghee, melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon coconut aminos or low-sodium soy sauce
  • 20 to 24 toothpicks

Instructions

  • Cut each strip of bacon lengthwise into thirds. Carefully wraps 8 to 10 green beans in a strip of bacon and secure with a toothpick. Place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Repeat until all of the bacon strips have been used.
  • In a small bowl, combine the maple syrup. butter, garlic powder, sea salt, and coconut aminos with a spoon. Pour evenly over each green bean bundle. 
  • Place the pan in a cold oven. Set oven to 375F for 40 minutes. To brown the tops of the bacon just a touch more, set the oven to broil on low for 2 minutes, checking frequently. Serve warm.
