Add sweet potatoes, maple syrup, water, butter, and cinnamon to your Instant Pot Pressure cooker.
Using the display panel select the MANUAL/PRESSURE COOK option. Use the +/- buttons to program the pot to 10 minutes.
When the time is up you can quickly release the pressure by opening the vent valve or let it naturally release by leaving it closed. Both ways work. Remove the lid and use and immersion blender to puree potatoes to your liking.
Add pecans and stir. Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle with an additional handful of pecans and cinnamon.
