- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast tenders
- 1 large egg, cracked into a small bowl and beaten until combined
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil, plus more for "frying"
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup gluten-free panko bread crumbs
In a medium sized bowl combine the chicken, egg, oil, garlic powder, onion powder, sea salt, and black pepper.
In a second wide small bowl add the bread crumbs. Take a strip of chicken and coat it in the bread crumbs, then place it inside of your 6 quart Air Fryer basket in a single layer. Repeat this step until all strips are coated. Lightly spray the strips with olive oil mist and place the basket inside of the Air Fryer housing. Air Fry at 360° for 12 minutes and flip the chicken over 1/2 way through, give another light spray of oil.
Remove the chicken from the Air Fryer and serve with Strip Sauce (see note)!
Note:
- To make strip sauce simply mix 1 part franks red hot sauce with 1 part mayo!
- Times may vary depending on your air fryer brand and the thickness of your breast strips. To check for done-ness insert a meat thermometer to the thickest part of the breast and make sure that its 165° F.
